This in-house-produced yarn is made of polyamide (PA) granules manufactured from virgin and recycled materials. These are mixed using a mass-balance approach leading to granules, and eventually, yarn, containing 35% allocated recycled feedstock but of the same virgin-grade quality as regular yarn.

This yarn is made from 100% regenerated polyamide. Meaning that polyamide waste - like old carpets – is recycled and turned into sustainable feedstock so it won’t pollute the earth.

This yarn is made with 100% recycled post-industrial plastic waste and benefits the carpet industry and the world at large.
- Keeps tonnes of polyester out of landfills and oceans
- A reasonably easy production process, which requires limited energy only
WHY DO WE EXPRESS ITS RECYCLED CONTENT IN APPROXIMATE TERMS? Even though it consists of 35% allocated recycled feedstock from post-industrial waste, the exact percentage of recycled content per granule, and thus, per yarn made, may vary. Just like, for example, the green electricity in your house. Its mix is fixed per kind of energy, but not always per user. So even though renewable electricity is guaranteed, the exact percentage varies every day. |
BACKINGS
Sustainability is not only about the first impression. The backings of our carpets are also made of eco-friendly, recycled materials.
To reduce raw materials and CO2 emissions, we reclaim a product that we usually discard: plastic bottles. We turn them into 100% recycled polyester to create our Texfloor, Ultratex, and Super Back backings.
