SELECTING THE RIGHT MATERIALS
Crafting beautiful, durable carpets starts with thoughtful material choices. From yarns to backings, we select materials for their quality, durability and potential to reduce reliance on virgin resources. Wherever technically and economically feasible, we increase the use of recycled content without compromising performance.
YARNS
We continuously evaluate opportunities to increase the use of recycled materials in our products. For specific collections, we select yarns with a high recycled content, supporting resource efficiency while meeting our technical and quality requirements.
This yarn is made from 100% regenerated polyamide 6: polyamide waste, such as discarded fishing nets and old carpets, is recycled into new feedstock reducing the need for virgin resources.
This yarn is made from 100% recycled post-industrial plastic waste. By replacing virgin raw materials with recycled content, it helps divert waste from disposal and supports a more efficient use of resources.
BACKINGS
Our backings also incorporate recycled materials. The recycled polyester used in Texfloor (40%), Super Back (30%), Powerback (70%) and EcoLuxe Back (100%) is sourced from post-consumer plastic bottles rather than virgin raw materials
