Our approach to production is shaped by the way our factory operates. We focus on making considered choices in our manufacturing processes, from the materials we work with to the way we produce.
our ambitions for 2030
As part of Belysse Group, we have set Science Based Targets (SBTi) to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030:
- 42% absolute reduction in Scope 1 & 2 CO₂ emissions by 2030 (vs. 2023)
- 25% absolute reduction in Scope 3 CO₂ emissions (purchased goods & services, upstream transport & distribution) by 2030
energy use
We continuously review our production processes to improve how we use energy. As part of this approach, we are increasing our green energy consumption.
The solar panels in our production facility in Tielt generated 3.3 GWh in 2025.
WATER MANAGEMENT
Water is an important resource in carpet production, particularly for dyeing and printing. We therefore continuously look for ways to use water more efficiently and reuse it where possible. Between 2021 and 2025, our Tielt production site reduced its water consumption by 27%.
At Group level, Belysse is committed to reducing water withdrawal intensity by 30% by 2030, compared to a 2018 baseline. Progress towards this target is monitored and reported annually in our Sustainability Report.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
We believe that materials should be recycled whenever possible rather than discarded. In 2025, we Invested to recover yarn losses, enabling more effective sorting and recycling. We continuously seek innovative solutions to improve resource efficiency and increase our recycling rates
